These are not basic single-color LED rings. Gorilla Knobz Smart Rings are built with RGB LED lighting that supports chasing effects, solid colors, and hundreds of custom lighting modes through the BanLanX app. You can control the colors, brightness, speed, and effects directly from your phone using Bluetooth.

How They Install

The rings install behind your Sundown Z-8 subwoofers. When reinstalling the subwoofers, carefully align the screw holes to avoid damaging the rings.

The module is typically installed inside the subwoofer box. Make sure no wiring gets pinched between the ring, spacer, or subwoofer during installation.

For V2 wiring, the power cord includes a red and black wire that can be connected to a 12V power source. The module can be powered from the amplifier power input area, but it must not be connected to the speaker output, speaker terminals, or speaker wires.

If your box is carpeted, foam may not be required. Foam is usually only needed for bedliner-style subwoofer boxes.

After installation, download the BanLanX app, turn on Bluetooth, tap the “+” icon, and add the module when it appears in the device list.

These rings are custom-fit for Sundown Z-8 subwoofers. Always check your measurements and cutout specs before ordering to make sure they match your setup.

Warranty does not cover damage caused by installation mistakes, incorrect wiring, reversed polarity, pinched wires, or accidental damage. Professional installation is recommended if you are not familiar with 12V wiring.
